Alicia King has been writing for Suite 101 since June of 2007. For over a year, she was the Featured Writer for the Suite section about Mind/Body Fitness. Though she had to step down from that position, she still enjoys writing about fitness and health, particularly eating gluten free and food intolerance issues. Alicia takes an active interest in a wide variety of activities – from yoga to biking to home improvement!

She has been working in the technology industry for over 11 years for companies such as Sema Schlumberger, Tescom, Accenture, BellSouth and AT&T. Recently, she was also an SEO and SEM manager at an automotive dealer group and helped guide the company's social media endeavors.
With a Bachelor’s degree from Sweet Briar College in Modern Foreign Languages and International Affairs, Alicia speaks Spanish, French, and German in addition to her native English. She also holds a graduate translation certification in Spanish from Georgia State University.
